Midea Carrier is the result of the union of two world market giants: Midea, leader in home appliance production and Carrier, leader in air conditioning and founded by the inventor of air conditioning – Willis Carrier. In 2011, the two companies formed a joint venture to produce and distribute products in Brazil, Argentina and Chile, thus becoming the largest manufacturer of air conditioning equipment in Latin America. There are three factories – two in Brazil and one in Argentina – and more than 3,500 employees. In the last two years, Midea Carrier sold more than 3 million pieces of equipment throughout Brazil.
