Founded in 1972 as a result of the initiative of entrepreneurs who created the Centro de Estudos de Londrina, and accredited as a university in 1997, Universidade do Norte do Paraná (Unopar) has units in the cities of Londrina, Arapongas and Bandeirantes, and more than 450 centers of distance education, distributed by all Brazilian states.
Currently, Unopar is the largest Distance Learning University (EaD) in the country, and it was also a pioneer in this modality. Unopar also offers two Distance Learning methodologies: Semi-Present, in which the student must attend a support center once a week, and 100% Distance Learning, in which the student only goes to the center to take the tests, and TCC presentation.
All distance education courses are recognized by the MEC and the diploma is the same as the face-to-face course.
