Ricardo Eletro started its activities in 1989, focusing on consumer price and gain in scale sales.
Ricardo Eletro's first expansion outside of Minas Gerais occurred in 2002 for Espírito Santo, where the company is recognized as the brand most remembered by consumers. The network also maintained strong investments in the northeast, in the states of Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and Pernambuco.
In 2007 and 2008, the company acquired 86 Mig network stores, thus entering the market in Goiás, Federal District, interior of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Even after joining with Insinuante in 2010, Ricardo Eletro expanded its aggressive DNA of low prices and great marketing campaigns.
